Job Overview:
Join BoulderCentre for Orthopedics & Spine as a Full Scope X-Ray Technologist and enjoy something rare in imaging: a truly predictable schedule. No evenings, no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call — just Monday–Friday clinic hours in a specialized outpatient orthopedic setting.
We offer competitive, market-rate pay ($31–$39/hr based on experience and certification) and welcome new graduates who are freshly ARRT-certified — we're happy to invest in training the right candidate ready to build a career in orthopedic imaging.
This role requires experience or willingness to learn radiologic equipment, including C-arm (fluoroscopy) technology, to support orthopedic procedures and physician needs. As needed, this role may also support basic Medical Assistant duties to help maintain efficient clinic flow.
Location: Boulder & Broomfield, CO — this role splits time between both locations based on operational needs; comfort traveling between the two is expected.

Compensation:
- ARRT: $31–$39 per hour (commensurate with experience and certification level)
- $4,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employees

Requirements
Essential Duties
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures
- Protects the patient, self, and other staff from radiation hazards
- Takes X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, including setting up and operating radiographic equipment and implementing infection control procedures
- Selects proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis; adjusts/sets radiographic controls
- Positions patients and takes X-rays of specific body parts as requested by physicians
- Creates digital radiological images; checks images for clarity, retaking when necessary
- Uploads and manages X-rays in Medstrat
- Maintains required records, including patient records, daily log books, and monthly reports
- Performs quantity and quality control checks to ensure equipment meets required standards
- Complies with safety standards
- Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment; determines when repairs are needed
- Maintains radiographic supplies and orders as necessary
- Burns images to disc when needed by patients and/or physicians
- Complies with organizational policies, procedures, code of conduct, and mission, values & vision
- Other duties as assigned
- Education & Certification Requirements:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited radiologic technology program required. Must be registered as a Radiologic Technologist through the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), full-scope certification required. Must hold a current state X-Ray Technology license.
Experience: New graduates encouraged to apply — we welcome candidates fresh out of an accredited radiologic technology program who hold current ARRT full-scope registration. One to three years of experience is a plus but not required, preferably in a medical practice environment. Experience with C-arm (fluoroscopy) preferred.
Performance Requirements:
- Knowledge of X-Ray procedures and protocols.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-Ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement.
- Knowledge of radiology equipment, including safety hazards common to radiology.
- Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
- Skill in following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and position patients for the type of X-Ray procedure required.
- Ability to notice detail in drawings and differences in shapes and shadings.
- Ability to read and write instructions, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small groups to clients and other employees.
- Ability to competently use Microsoft Office.
