  • A builder mindset, with experience turning ideas into working prototypes and contributing to production-ready solutions.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to challenge assumptions and ask thoughtful questions.
  • Familiarity with modern programming languages, frameworks, algorithms, data structures, and common design patterns.
  • A test-first approach and commitment to quality engineering practices.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to contribute to design discussions with guidance from more experienced engineers.
  • A track record of owning issues, working through ambiguity, and delivering high-quality solutions.

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 3 plus years of software engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 1 plus years of experience.
  • Understanding of software design principles and experience applying them to build reliable, maintainable systems.
  • Experience developing software with at least one modern language, such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
  • Experience with, or exposure to, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience using GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or Claude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a growth mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, embrace feedback, and deliver on commitments.
  • Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
  • Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
