Key Responsibilities:

A minimum of one year of home health experience is preferred, along with a proven ability to manage a fast-paced, independent work schedule. Knowledge of Homecare Homebase software is a plus! A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides coordinated occupational therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Administers the occupational therapy treatment plan as developed by the OTR.
• •Assess and facilitate therapeutic interventions for ROM, strength, coordination, adaptive equipment, and functional mobility.
• •Facilitates patients ROM, strength coordination, use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications functional mobility and safety issues as related to patients ADL performance needs under supervision of the OTR.
• •Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.
• •Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
• •Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare practitioners involved in the patient’s care.
• •Participate in the Agency’s QAPI program and in-service training.
• •Meet continuing education requirements and demonstrate professional growth and competency.
• •Promote the Agency’s philosophy and policies to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements

• •Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• •Current Texas State License to practice occupational therapy.
• •Knowledge or experience utilizing Homecare Homebase EMR would be a plus
• •Minimum of one year experience as Certified Occupational Therapy Asisstant preferred.
• •Minimum of one year of home health care experience
• •Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with the elderly
• •Strong clinical and assessment skills
• •Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• •Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
