Love Animals? Want to Make a Real Impact?
At Take Five Dogcare, we believe every dog and cat deserves tailored, thoughtful care. Our team shows up every day with compassion, hustle, and heart. The work is real – but so are the rewards: wagging tails, gentle purrs, and the trust you build with each pet and client, and your team.
We’re looking for dedicated animal lovers ready to roll up their sleeves and make a difference. This isn’t just playtime (though there’s plenty of that) – you’ll be providing comfort, safety, and care to pets who rely on us 365 days a year.
Why Join Take Five Dogcare?
Supportive Team Vibe – You’ll never feel like you’re doing it alone.
Meaningful Work – Every shift matters.
Competitive Pay + Tips – Your effort is seen, appreciated, and rewarded.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Providing hands-on care to our overnight guests – feeding, monitoring, administering meds, and making sure pets are settled and secure.
Supervising walks and playgroups (yes, fun is part of the job!).
Keeping the boarding facility clean, safe, and cozy – just as important as cuddles.
Checking pets in/out and updating pet parents with genuine, helpful communication.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
Reliable & Responsible – Pets depend on us, and we need to depend on you.
Observant – You notice when something’s off with a pup or kitty.
Physically Capable – Able to lift up to 50 lbs, be on your feet, and work in all weather.
Patient & Kind – Especially with pets who need a little extra TLC.
Team-First – We lift each other up and have each other’s backs.
Flexible Availability – Comfortable working at least one weekend day each week and some holidays to support our year-round care.
Responsibilities, Perks & Pay:
Full-time, 30+ hours per week
Weekend availability required!
Overnight Shift (9 PM – 6:30 AM) (Preferred 1x/week): You’ll be able to sleep onsite (and snuggle the staff room pups!), but must be ready for anything that comes up overnight.
Starting Pay : $16/hour + tips
Overnight Pay : Earn $68.88 to $118+ per night depending on your regular hours worked.
Tips : Average $2-3/hour during peak season, $1-2/hour during off seasons – does not include cash tips.
Holiday Pay : Time and a half.
