Many UHP physicians have teaching responsibilities for residents, fellows, and medical students. The UMKC SOM accepts students directly out of high school for a six-year combined baccalaureate/Doctor of Medicine program. The UMKC SOM Graduate Medical Education program supports over 30 residencies and fellowships.

UH is known as “Kansas City’s Essential Hospital” and is the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City, MO. UH is an academic medical center, serving as the primary teaching institution for the UMKC Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. Job Description

Provide medical & gastroenterology care at University Health through outpatient clinics and inpatient care. Position requires completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship, Missouri Medical License. H1 B applicants are welcome to apply. J1 applicants with a 2027 hire date are welcome to apply but we can no longer consider J1 applicants for 2026 hire dates.
