As a Gen AI Data Engineer - Azure AI Foundry you will contribute to the design and delivery of data engineering solutions that support generative AI use cases, Azure-based platforms, and modern data pipelines within our Data Modernisation practice. As a Senior Associate you will analyze complex workstreams, manage assigned deliverables, guide junior team members, and build meaningful client connections while navigating changing priorities and translating business needs into technical solutions. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Bangalore, you will develop and maintain data pipelines, support AI-enabled data products, apply engineering methods across Azure AI Foundry environments, and help deliver work that aligns with the broader goals of the Technology Consulting network and the Data, Analytics & AI competency network.

Responsibilities

• - Developing and managing data engineering workstreams for GenAI solutions on Azure AI Foundry
• - Building and optimizing data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses to support analytics and AI use cases
• - Integrating data from multiple sources by using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related cloud data services
• - Applying data modeling, transformation, and validation methods to support reliable downstream use of structured and unstructured data
• - Tuning data flows, query performance, and storage patterns to improve platform efficiency and scalability
• - Supporting data architecture decisions across ingestion, processing, governance, and delivery layers
• - Collaborating with client teams to translate business needs into technical data solutions and delivery plans
• - Reviewing work for quality, raising issues early, and guiding junior team members through technical tasks
• - Using Python, SQL, and cloud-based engineering tools to build reusable components and automation for data delivery
• - Contributing to solution design for secure, compliant, and maintainable AI and data platforms

What You Must Have

• - At least a Bachelor's degree
• - At least 4+ years of experience
• - Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

• - Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics
• - Demonstrating Azure AI Foundry or Databricks data engineering delivery
• - Applying Python, SQL, and data pipeline development skills
• - Building data models, warehouses, and transformation workflows
• - Navigating client discussions and interpreting business needs
• - Mentoring junior team members through assigned workstreams
