Description

Crowne Plaza North Augusta is seeking a General Manager to lead our full-service hotel at the heart of Riverside Village. Steps from Augusta GreenJackets baseball at SRP Park and across the Savannah River from downtown Augusta, our 180-room property brings together elevated accommodations, Salt + Marrow Kitchen, the Jackson’s Bluff rooftop bar, and meetings and events in one distinctive destination. Managed by StepStone Hospitality, this is an opportunity for a hands-on hospitality executive to elevate the guest experience, build a high-performing team, and deliver strong operational and financial results.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Set the vision. Own the results. Inspire the team.

The General Manager provides strategic direction and visible day-to-day leadership across the hotel. You'll balance commercial performance with thoughtful service, operational discipline, associate development, and productive relationships with ownership, brand partners, and StepStone leadership.

Requirements

  • Oversee all hotel operations, including rooms, food and beverage, meetings and events, engineering, guest services, and cross-department coordination.
  • Develop and execute annual budgets, forecasts, and short- and long-term plans; monitor financial results, labor productivity, revenue performance, and operating expenses.
  • Coach, develop, and hold department leaders accountable for service standards, staffing, training, associate engagement, and results.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to execute strategies that grow corporate, leisure, group, and event business while maximizing the property’s distinctive riverfront location.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, corporate leadership, brand partners, guests, and community stakeholders through proactive, transparent communication.
  • Use guest feedback, quality inspections, and operational reporting to identify improvement opportunities and deliver consistent, memorable experiences.
  • Ensure sound human resources practices, regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance, asset protection, and safe operations for guests and associates.
  • Be a visible, solutions-oriented leader who steps into operations when needed and brings teams together during busy events and high-demand periods.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • A respected, engaged leadership team with clear expectations and a culture of accountability.
  • Strong guest satisfaction and consistent service and property-quality standards.
  • Disciplined financial performance, thoughtful labor management, and proactive ownership communication.
  • A hotel recognized as a compelling destination for guests, groups, events, and the North Augusta community.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Relevant hotel leadership experience and comprehensive knowledge of full-service hotel departments and functions; experience with complex food and beverage and event operations is especially valuable.
  • Strong business judgment, financial literacy, computer skills, and the ability to interpret budgets, forecasts, operating reports, and guest-service trends.
  • A collaborative, professional leadership style with excellent communication, coaching, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety, employment, and hospitality regulations.
  • High school education and relevant training and experience required; additional education preferred. Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to obtain required licenses or certifications and complete required CPR and first-aid training.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS

This is an on-property leadership position requiring flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, including a five-and-one-half-day workweek as needed by the role. Occasional travel is required. Physical responsibilities include lifting and pulling at least 20 pounds and performing routine bending, reaching, and other activities associated with hotel operations.

READY TO LEAD WHAT COMES NEXT?

Bring your leadership to Crowne Plaza North Augusta—where memorable hospitality meets the energy of Riverside Village. We welcome qualified leaders who are ready to inspire teams, strengthen performance, and shape the next chapter of our hotel.
