Headquartered in Warner Robins, Georgia, we build flexible, fully integrated insurance software, including our Evergreen policy administration suite, that supports the full policy lifecycle: rating, quoting, policy issuance, billing, and claims. Our team pairs deep insurance expertise with an agile, solution-oriented approach, so our clients can launch products faster, cut through red tape, and better serve their policyholders. At Silvervine, you'll work alongside people who know both technology and insurance and who care about building software that lasts.
Position Summary
The General Manager (GM) will oversee the executive leadership team, set the business unit’s strategic direction, and serve as the primary point of accountability to Vencora, the company’s corporate owner, who provides strategic oversight and governance. This role requires a leader who understands the regulatory, competitive, and technological dynamics of the insurance software landscape, and who can drive product innovation, client growth, and operational excellence at scale and build a compelling market presence internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and drive the business unit’s long-term vision and strategy across core product/service areas, e.g., platform, APIs, AI/ML, cloud services
Anticipate shifts in relevant regulatory frameworks, competitive dynamics, and client needs
Set and communicate annual and multi-year strategic priorities in partnership with Vencora
Evaluate and pursue growth opportunities, including new market segments, partnerships, and potential M&A
Go-to-Market Strategy & External Brand Leadership
Own the complete go-to-market strategy, encompassing product, customer support, professional services, sales and marketing, and external brand messaging
Create and maintain a compelling market presence with existing customers, potential new customers, and strategic industry partners through thought leadership, speaking engagements, and consistent executive visibility
Define Silvervine’s competitive positioning and unique value proposition in the market
Talent Acquisition, Retention & Engagement Strategy
Champion an integrated talent strategy that attracts, develops, engages, and retains exceptional talent, positioning the business unit as an employer of choice and ensuring the leadership and workforce capabilities required to achieve its strategic objectives
Foster a high-performance, values-driven culture by investing in leadership development, strengthening organizational capability, and building a robust succession pipeline to support sustainable growth
Inspire and align the organization around the business unit’s vision and strategy, leading with clarity through periods of growth and change while maintaining focus, accountability, and momentum toward strategic priorities
Executive Team & Organizational Leadership
Lead, mentor, and hold accountable the executive leadership team; build organizational structure and talent strategy to support scaling the platform and client base
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, security, and client trust across the organization
Ensure strong succession planning and leadership bench strength
Financial & Operational Oversight
Own overall P&L responsibility, ensuring the business unit meets revenue, margin, and profitability targets
Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and capital allocation decisions
Ensure robust financial controls and reporting to Vencora and other stakeholders
Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness across all areas of the business (product development, engineering, implementation, client support, finance, sales and marketing) to maximize resources and accelerate delivering value to stakeholders and customers
Product, Technology & Client Strategy
Guide the strategic direction of the product, services, and technology roadmaps in collaboration with each team’s leadership to ensure alignment with market needs and business objectives
Ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, and compliant with [applicable regulatory and data security standards]
Drive future capability building in product and service offerings through AI/ML integration (or other relevant technologies) to enhance competitiveness and deliver increased client value
Champion client success and retention, particularly among key segments such as [key client segments]
Oversee major client, partner, and vendor relationships
Governance & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary liaison to Vencora, providing regular, transparent reporting on performance, risk, strategy, and ensuring alignment with Vencora’s investment thesis and the business unit’s objectives
Ensure compliance with applicable [industry] regulations, data privacy laws, and fiduciary obligations
Build and maintain relationships with regulators, industry bodies, investors, and strategic partners
Represent Silvervine publicly with media, industry associations, and the broader [industry] community
Qualifications
Post Secondary degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree an asset)
10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior executive and/or C-suite role
Experience in Fintech, insurance software or B2B industry
Proven track record of driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational scale
Strong understanding of the [relevant regulatory environment, e.g., regional/industry regulatory framework]
Demonstrated experience overseeing and developing an executive leadership team
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with corporate ownership, clients, and regulators
