About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead Haleon's Mexico business and deliver sustainable growth, market share expansion and strong P&L performance.

The role translates enterprise and category (Oral Health, Pain Relief, Respiratory Health, and Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements) strategies into clear market priorities, customer plans, channel investments and disciplined commercial execution.

As the most senior leader in the market (200+ employees), the General Manager leads the adoption of Haleon's new operating model and builds a high performing, agile and consumer-centric organisation.

The role aligns cross-functional teams, develops organisational capability, represents Haleon externally, and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Translate OU and category strategy into market plans

  • Turn Operating Unit category and portfolio strategies into executable market, customer and channel plans, with clear priorities and trade-offs within agreed category guardrails.
  • Balance enterprise priorities and market needs, adapting execution to local consumer, customer and competitive dynamics.
  • Create alignment across the Mexico leadership team and matrix partners on goals, metrics and milestones to drive disciplined in-market execution.
  • Direct resources toward the highest-value opportunities while maintaining clarity on strategic choices and expected outcomes.

Drive commercial performance and sustainable growth

  • Deliver annual revenue, profit, market share and operational commitments through disciplined forecasting, performance reviews and timely corrective actions.
  • Execute pricing, promotions, trade terms, media and channel plans with discipline, strong ROI focus and delivery against commitments.
  • Identify and develop strategic growth opportunities across traditional and emerging channels, including digital commerce.
  • Lead key customer relationships to outpace market growth, strengthen partnerships and deliver responsible business outcomes.
  • Build a strong connection between category strategy, commercial choices and end-to-end market execution.

Lead the new operating model and transformation

  • Champion adoption of Haleon’s new operating model and translate its principles into practical market ways of working.
  • Create clarity on decision rights, accountabilities, governance routines, hand-offs and success measures.
  • Drive end-to-end collaboration across Category, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Affairs and HR.
  • Simplify processes, remove execution barriers and increase decision speed while maintaining appropriate governance.
  • Lead change visibly, reinforce new leadership behaviours and ensure the operating model delivers measurable business value. Lead omnichannel execution
  • Drive excellence across omnichannel activation, ensuring end-to-end delivery from customer plans and commercial programmes through to in-market execution.
  • Leverage global tools, capabilities and best practices while adapting execution to Mexico’s market dynamics.
  • Build capabilities that improve execution consistency, speed and effectiveness across channels.
  • Share learning and proven practices across markets and Operating Units.

Financial discipline, risk and organisation leadership

  • Deliver key financial and operational metrics; optimise costs, cash flow and productivity while maintaining market-leading customer service.
  • Ensure compliant execution across ethical, legal, regulatory, quality and governance requirements.
  • Assess business risks, maintain effective controls and lead decisively through crises or business continuity events.
  • Build a strong talent bench and high-performance culture; develop the leadership pipeline and succession plans.
  • Represent Haleon externally to protect and enhance reputation, visibility and stakeholder relationships.

People and enterprise leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive leadership team with clear accountability and a strong talent pipeline.
  • Develop future leaders and successors through coaching, feedback, differentiated development and meaningful career experiences.
  • Role-model enterprise leadership, collaboration, ownership and prioritisation in a complex matrix environment.
  • Foster the Win as One culture and connect daily decisions to consumer impact, business growth and value creation.
  • Create an environment in which leaders consistently develop talent, recognise collaboration and build organisational capability.
