Reporting to the Managing Director, Pacific, you will run the business with a high degree of autonomy and be accountable for operational performance and EBITDA across Australia. You will lead all Operations, Fleet Distribution, and Maintenance and Damage activities. You will also set the short- and long-term strategy that keeps the business improving.

  • Manage and forecast the fleet to optimise revenue per unit, utilisation and customer service
  • Raise customer satisfaction, using NPS, Google reviews and Booking.com as key measures
  • Lead, coach and engage a large operations team, and build a strong leadership pipeline and succession plan
  • Work across a global matrix organisation and contribute to commercial and fleet strategy
  • Make sure the business meets health, safety, environmental, compliance and ESG standards

What you will bring

  • 5+ years in a senior operations or fleet leadership role, ideally in car rental, mobility or another multi-site, asset-intensive business
  • Strong financial acumen and a proven record of improving operational efficiency and profitability
  • Experience leading and developing teams to meet and exceed targets
  • Confidence managing multiple projects and stakeholders, and communicating with senior leaders
  • Experience in a US-headquartered multinational, with a clear understanding of its performance metrics, reporting rhythms and ways of operating
