As part of Woolpert, Murphy Geospatial – A Woolpert Company contributes deep geospatial expertise across Europe, supporting complex infrastructure, property, manufacturing, utilities, and natural‑environment projects through world‑class data capture, verification, and governance.
Position Overview
Due to continued business growth across Ireland and Europe, we are currently recruiting Geospatial Engineers to join our Geospatial Engineering Department on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Department, this is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Geospatial Engineer to lead key projects across Ireland and Europe, ensuring positive outcomes for clients and the business alike.
What You Will Do
Staking/Setting-out for different trades in construction.
Prepare and analyse data for set-out.
Utilise modern survey methods and survey devices such as Total Stations, GPS and Data Collectors.
Perform detailed field and office surveying work.
Utilisation of post processing software such as AutoCAD, StarNet and 12d Model.
Build and maintain relationships with clients and various stakeholders, ensuring we deliver projects to exact customer requirements.
Any other duties as required by the business.
What You Will Bring
Have relevant qualifications (Surveying, Geomatics or Engineering) and/or relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of surveying.
Understand scopes of work and project requirements.
Have strong knowledge of current CAD technology.
Experience working in infrastructure and construction.
Possess a full Irish or EU driving licence.
Possess a valid PTS card
Flexibility to travel nationwide & European-wide as required by our clients.
The right to work in the EU.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
An ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads and achieve critical deadlines
Willingness to develop skills and knowledgebase.

Enthusiastic and structured approach to planning with good problem-solving abilities
