Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist

What you’ll do

As a Geotechnical Engineer / Geologist in our Ground and Underground team based in Queensland, you’ll contribute to a range of infrastructure, defense, and energy projects, working alongside a team that values collaboration, curiosity, and practical solutions.

• •Support planning and delivery of geotechnical site investigations in line with relevant standards
• •Assist with geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting across projects
• •Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements
• •Contribute to high-quality technical outputs and documentation
• •Support ongoing project delivery across infrastructure, including major programs, defence projects, and other linear and energy projects

What you’ll bring

• •Bachelor's degree in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering, or Bachelor of Science in Geology (or related discipline)
• •2–3 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering or geology (consulting experience preferred, but not essential)
• •Experience in geotechnical site investigations, with willingness to travel as required
• •Working knowledge of geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience, OpenGround, or Leapfrog (beneficial but not mandatory)
• •Strong communication and teamwork skills
• •A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to developing new technical capabilities
• •Field experience from consulting, contractors, or drilling environments is advantageous
• •Willingness and ability to obtain security clearance required to support Defence-related projects
