Title: GL Accountant

Location: Warsaw

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2x week office presence required

The Opportunity

Do you enjoy bringing accuracy and structure to complex financial processes? Looking for a role where you can work across multiple European entities and partner with stakeholders across the business?

At Ascensia Diabetes Care, we are looking for a GL Accountant to support Epredia project. In this role, you will support core General Ledger processes, perform balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and Intrastat reporting, month-end close processes, and support compliance and financial accuracy across our EMEA operations.

How You'll Make an Impact

• •Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and compliant General Ledger accounting across EMEA entities.
• •Manage day-to-day GL activities, including bank accounting, recurring journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.
• •Prepare and submit VAT and Intrastat reports while helping maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• •Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• •Partner with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, providing support and responding to accounting-related queries.
• •Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the finance function.

Bring Your Expertise

Required Qualifications:

• •2+ years of hands-on General Ledger accounting experience.
• •A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• •Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• •Experience working with ERP systems in a finance environment.
• •Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• •Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
• •Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Additional Experience That Could Help You Succeed

• •Experience working in a Shared Services Center (SSC) or international finance environment.
• •Exposure to SAP system

Total Rewards:

The gross monthly base salary range for this position is 8,000 – 9,600 PLN monthly gross. In addition, employees may be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus of up to 8% of annual gross base salary, in accordance with the Company’s bonus policy. Compensation within the range will be determined based on objective criteria such as relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
