The Global Finance Transformation team drives technology-enabled transformation across Finance and Accounting, working across three core areas: Functional Systems Administration, Business Process Management and Portfolio Management.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead our Portfolio Management capability, bringing structure, governance and delivery oversight across the Global Finance Transformation portfolio.

You’ll work closely with our global Finance and Accounting leaders, technology teams and other cross-functional partners to turn strategic priorities into well-planned and effectively delivered transformation initiatives. This role would suit someone with strong technical programme and project management experience within finance who is comfortable working across enterprise systems, business processes and complex stakeholder groups.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract role.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the Global Finance Transformation portfolio, maintaining clear visibility of priorities, timelines, dependencies, resources, risks, capacity and overall portfolio health.
  • Establish and maintain consistent approaches to project intake, prioritisation, planning and governance, translating strategic priorities into practical programmes, projects and roadmaps.
  • Lead complex Finance technology initiatives through planning, implementation and stabilisation, coordinating requirements, integrations, data, security, testing, deployment and operational readiness across functional and technical teams.
  • Build effective project governance, including integrated plans, portfolio reporting, RAID and decision logs, steering meetings and executive updates, while ensuring risks, dependencies and decisions are identified and addressed early.
  • Partner with Functional Systems Administration, Business Process Management and other stakeholders to align scope and priorities, create clear and structured requirements and documentation, improve delivery practices, align technology and process requirements, support resource planning and continuously improve how transformation initiatives are prioritised and delivered.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience delivering complex technical programmes, projects or enterprise application initiatives within finance.
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant, with a recognised professional accounting qualification or progress towards one would be beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience managing several concurrent, cross-functional initiatives and establishing effective portfolio or project governance, including planning, prioritisation, dependency management, risk management and leadership reporting.
  • A good understanding of enterprise technology delivery, including requirements, integrations, data, testing, deployment and post-launch stabilisation, with the ability to connect business needs with functional and technical considerations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain progress, risks, dependencies, trade-offs and decisions clearly to audiences ranging from project teams to senior leaders.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience working with ERP systems. Workday experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • PRINCE2 certification, or an equivalent recognised project or programme management qualification, is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work from both our Aldwych House and Orpington offices each week, spending at least one day per week in each location.
