Grain Operations Manager

Description

Summary: Responsible for all employees and operational oversight of Grain Operations for New Vision Coop production and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• •Supports New Vision Co-op’s stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values.
• •Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees always.
• •Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
• •Drive Operational and employee efficiencies throughout the Grain Divisions.
• •Coach, lead and provide continuing education and constant learning environment for direct and indirect reports.
• •Directly supervise Grain Operations Supervisors.
• •Coordinate labor and equipment requirements and needs with Operations Supervisors.
• •Ensure the company is always fully utilizing operations employees across Grain to improve efficiencies and reduce labor costs.
• •Manages Grain quantity and quality and inventory by location and report issues.
• •Monitor grain inventory system and bin temp cables by location (if applicable).
• •Coordinates elevator receiving and shipping logistics and quality requirements with Grain Department Manager and Grain Operations Supervisors

Requirements

• •Bachelor’s degree in related field and 4 years’ experience or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 7 years’ experience in grain elevator and agronomy operations.
• •Must have an understanding of bulk material handling and equipment operation and the ability to analyze and repair equipment failures in the safest and most efficient manner possible.
• •To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
• •Attention to detail, multi-tasking, organizational skills
• •Supervisory experience preferred.
• •Valid driver’s license.
