Description

US Pediatric Partners is seeking a talented, thoughtful Graphic Designer & Creative Strategist to serve as a central creative resource across our growing network of pediatric primary care and behavioral health organizations.

This role will be responsible for developing high-quality visual communications across digital and print channels while bringing a strategic mindset to how information is organized, presented, and consumed. The Graphic Designer & Creative Strategist will work closely with the VP of Marketing, marketing team members, clinical subject matter experts, operational leaders, and other internal stakeholders to translate business and clinical objectives into clear, engaging, and effective creative.

This is not simply a production design role. The ideal candidate combines excellent design instincts with curiosity, strategic thinking, and an ability to make complex healthcare information approachable and easy to understand for the intended audience.

Responsibilities:

Graphic Design & Creative Development

  • Design high-quality marketing and communications materials across the USPP portfolio, including digital, print, social, web, presentations, signage, advertising, patient education, and community collateral
  • Take projects from initial concept through final production while maintaining strong standards for typography, layout, visual hierarchy, brand consistency, and usability
  • Develop and adapt creative concepts across audiences, brands, formats, and channels
  • Prepare production-ready files; coordinate appropriately with print, digital, and other external vendors

Creative & Content Strategy

  • Translate business, marketing, and clinical objectives into strategic visual communications rather than simply executing design requests
  • Define key inputs at the beginning of projects, including target audience, communication objective, message hierarchy, desired action, distribution channel, and context to guide creative development
  • Identify when content provided by stakeholders should be simplified, reorganized, or presented differently to improve effectiveness
  • Develop wireframes, content layouts, and information hierarchy before final creative production

Clinical & Patient-Facing Content Development

  • Partner closely with clinical specialists and subject matter experts to organize complex healthcare information into clear, accessible, and visually engaging communications
  • Translate content into materials appropriate for diverse audiences (including patients, parents, caregivers, providers, and referral sources) with emphasis on readability and actionable steps
  • Preserve clinical accuracy and intended audience throughout the review and approval process

Brand Management & Creative Systems

  • Apply and maintain brand standards across USPP and its portfolio of pediatric primary care and behavioral health brands
  • Develop and maintain scalable creative templates, toolkits, and design systems that allow marketing and field teams to efficiently execute recurring needs
  • Adapt creative appropriately across distinct brands without sacrificing individual brand identity
  • Help evolve visual brand systems as organizational and marketing needs change
  • Maintain organized libraries of creative files, templates, photography, brand assets, and final materials

Digital, Campaign & Multimedia Creative

  • Develop creative assets for integrated marketing campaigns across digital advertising, paid and organic social media, websites, email, print, direct mail, and other channels
  • Create variations of approved creative for different audiences, brands, markets, and channels
  • Partner with team members to translate campaign strategies into cohesive creative concepts
  • Develop digital-first content with consideration for audience, platform, and user experience
  • Support visual storytelling through photography, video graphics, infographics, motion/multimedia assets, and other emerging content formats as appropriate

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Manage multiple creative projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and brands simultaneously
  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders to clarify requests and proactively identify missing information
  • Present creative concepts and explain the strategic rationale behind design and content decisions
  • Incorporate feedback thoughtfully while maintaining communication objectives and design quality
  • Maintain organized project files and workflows to support efficient collaboration and future asset reuse

Requirements

Required

  • 4–6 years of professional graphic design, visual communications, or related creative experience
  • Strong portfolio across print, digital, layout, typography, branding, and marketing collateral
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Proficiency with Canva and development of scalable templates for non-designers
  • Ability to independently manage multiple creative projects from concept through final production
  • Strategic approach to audience, objective, message hierarchy, desired action, channel, and context
  • Ability to structure complex content through information hierarchy, wireframing, and thoughtful layout
  • Strong stakeholder communication, including working directly with our markets and articulating creative recommendations
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive, collaborative, and ownership-driven mindset

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • In-house, agency, or multi-brand creative experience supporting multiple brands and audiences
  • Experience in healthcare, or regulated service environments
  • Familiarity with digital advertising, social creative, web design principles, and digital-first content
  • Photography, video editing, motion graphics, or multimedia experience a plus
  • Comfortable working with external agencies and vendors
