DHT Group is hiring four experienced Gravel Train / Doubles Drivers for our Newport, Michigan operation.

This is a local, home-daily position paying $25–$28 per hour, depending on qualifications , for experienced drivers who know gravel trains and take pride in operating safely, professionally, and efficiently.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• •Safely operate gravel train / doubles equipment
• •Complete pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections
• •Couple and uncouple trailers and connect air/electrical lines
• •Monitor load weight and distribution
• •Maintain required DOT logs and documentation
• •Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and coworkers
• •Comply with weigh-station requirements
• •Maintain DHT safety and compliance standards

WHAT YOU NEED

• •Valid CDL-A
• •T endorsement
• •Valid medical card
• •Acceptable driving record
• •At least 1 year of verifiable CDL-A experience
• •At least 6 months of gravel train experience
• •Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• •Ability to meet DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening requirements
• •6+ months of dump experience preferred

Requirements

• •Acceptable driving record
• •Valid Med card
• •CDLA
• •T endorsement
• •At least one year of verifiable CDLA truck driving experience
• •At least 6 months of gravel train experience

Preferred Requirements

At least 6 months of dump experience

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds

Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen

Must be able to pass a DOT physical
