Grinder Operator

Description

Greenbridge is seeking a Grinder Operator to support the ongoing growth of the company. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Grinding preforms, strapping and scrap to supply production. Monitor quality of ground material.

Accurately report the amount and type of material ground. Work with minimal supervision.

Provide backup for Receiving Dept.: railcar unloading; reading silos; loading recycled cardboard; unloading packaging supplies; etc.

Blade changes, dust collector filter servicing (cleaning, changing)

Work safely, understand and comply with all safety requirements

Maintain clean work area (grinding room, material staging areas, receiving aisle)

Able to safely and effectively operate a forklift to stack, unstack and position gaylords and tubs

Able to work independently to complete tasks safely and efficiently

Able to use hand tools for servicing grinder

Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Read, write and possess basic math skills

Good Mechanical aptitude and experience

Prior manufacturing experience a plus

Meticulous attention to detail.

Successfully uses all tools, proper stamps, package product accordingly and other equipment.

Good manual dexterity and agility

Physically lift 60 lbs. to a six-foot height
