Growth & Business Development Intern

The Big Picture:

Illumine-i is building a new business line - Owner's Engineering — advising mid-market US companies on solar, battery storage, and EV charging projects, independent of any EPC or equipment vendor. This intern will support outreach execution: helping grow a targeted LinkedIn network, assisting with referral-partner outreach, and keeping the outreach tracking log current.

Responsibilities:

• •Research and compile target contact lists (LinkedIn profiles, company info) against criteria provided
• •Assist with sending and tracking LinkedIn connection requests and follow-up messages
• •Help maintain the outreach tracking log (dates, contacts, responses, next steps)
• •Support drafting of outreach message variations for A/B testing across categories
• •Light research on referral-partner companies (parking/EV software, ESG platforms, insurance brokers, etc.) to keep target lists current
• •Assist with scheduling discovery calls once prospects respond

Ideal candidate:

• •Currently pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
• •Comfortable with LinkedIn as a platform (personal use is fine — this isn't a technical skill)
• •Detail-oriented — this role lives and dies by consistent logging and follow-through
• •Based in Chennai, able to work in-person or hybrid as needed
• •No prior solar/energy industry knowledge required — training provided
