About Petra Labs

Petra Labs is building the attribution and experimentation layer for AI search. We believe the future of commerce will be shaped by AI-driven information retrieval, yet most companies lack the infrastructure to understand and capitalize on this emerging growth channel. Petra Labs uses large-scale simulations, agentic analysis, and deeply embedded integrations to turn AI search from a black box into a measurable growth channel teams can rigorously optimize and allocate spend against.

Raised $5M+ in funding from Tier-1 VCs. We work in our SoHo, New York office.

Culture

We hire a small number of extremely talented people and give them as much ownership and autonomy as possible.

We are truth-seeking. Transparent, direct discourse is encouraged. We challenge existing beliefs in pursuit of always getting better.

We work hard and are unapologetic about the level of effort required to build a generational company.

The Role

Today, the vast majority of our pipeline comes from inbounds and referrals from success with our existing customers. Whilst we continue to find great success through this channel, we now want to focus efforts on expanding our AI-native growth and marketing systems and initiatives.

We need someone who can work with leadership on building the GTM engine from the ground up: generate qualified enterprise leads, create content that educates a market that barely knows this category exists, and run experiments across channels to find what converts.

What You'll Do - Pipeline & Demand Gen

Build pipeline. Design and execute targeted outbound campaigns tailored to marketing leaders, VPs, and CMOs.

Own initiatives end to end. You’ll own everything from who we’re targeting and what we’re saying to what happens after someone converts.

Figure out what’s working and what isn’t. If a channel stops converting, dig into why. Apply analytical rigor to chart, and back, the best path forward without relying only on increased spend.

Test constantly. New channels, messaging, audiences, offers, and formats. Some things will work and plenty won’t. The goal is to experiment relentlessly, learn what works quickly and continue to iterate.

Think in systems. Doing things that don’t scale is paramount for figuring out what works. Once you do, design and build a system from the ground up that makes your success repeatable.

What We’re Looking For

We care less about where you’ve worked and more about what you’ve actually done. You should be able to point to things you’ve built, results you’ve driven, and problems you’ve figured out yourself.

You’ve built a growth channel before. You’ve taken something from zero, figured out what worked, and turned it into real pipeline or revenue. You’re comfortable owning the whole thing, not just one piece of it.

You’re good with numbers. You know what your channels are costing, what they’re producing, and where the bottlenecks are. You can build a model, dig through a dashboard, and answer your own questions without waiting on someone else.

You figure things out yourself. Whether it’s setting up a CRM workflow, automating something repetitive, or getting two tools to talk to each other, you’re comfortable getting your hands dirty.

You can write. A big part of this job is taking something technical or complicated and making it simple and interesting. You should be able to write something a CMO would actually want to read or send to their team.

You’re comfortable selling services. Petra isn’t SaaS. Our deals are meaningful, the sales process can take time, and our buyers are sophisticated marketing leaders. You need to understand how to build trust and sell something that isn’t as simple as clicking “start trial.”

You want a lot of ownership. We’re still early, so the job won’t always fit neatly into a box. We’re looking for someone who likes that and wants to help figure out what the role becomes.

AI native. Moving fast requires maximizing the full set of tools at your disposal. Fluency is preferred, but familiarity and an unrelenting willingness to learn goes further.
