The ICCT is looking for an intern to join our office in Beijing, working to support the transition of the transport sector to zero-emission technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the nonprofit sector.

You will:

Contribute to research projects that analyze and communicate the status of environmental transportation policies adopted in China

Support conducting statistical analysis under guidance from ICCT's research staff

Support report translation and outreach material drafting works

Deliver ad-hoc tasks as needed

You have:

• •Senior undergraduate or graduate student. Preferable major in Transportation, Environment
• Science & Engineering, Automotive, or other related disciplines.

Excellent research, analytical, and quantitative skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

A bility to work with databases using statistical languages/ softwares such as R, Python and Tableau

Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese, strong ability in spoken and written English.

Ideally with experiences or knowledge in transportation planning, vehicle emissions, automotive technologies, or environmental data analysis.

Good understanding on climate change and transportation will be preferred, enthusiasms on working with researchers and international colleagues.

Capability to work at least 3 days per week, and on-site work in ICCT Beijing office at least 2 day per week. The intern will be at least 6 month .

Our benefits

The internship contract will have a duration of 6 months, with potential extension to 12 months. You will work in our Beijing office and report to our China heavy duty vehicle program staff. ICCT will provide a laptop and other office equipment as needed. We are offering a salary of CNY 3,362 a month (24 hours a week), or an amount proportional to the workload allowed by your university.
