Learnlife is seeking a dynamic Head of Admissions and Community Engagement to drive school growth through proactive family engagement, recruitment, retention, admissions management, and meaningful community engagement.

This role ensures the admissions process delivers an outstanding personal experience for families while strategically generating new leads, converting them to enrollments, and forecasting to meet annual learner enrollment targets. The role will also be responsible for building long-term relationships within Barcelona’s international and local communities to ensure sustainable long-term growth.

We’ve built three hubs (schools) that host more than 300 learners aged 5 to 18 in the greater Barcelona area. We're a top 10 shortlisted school in the World’s Best School Prizes 2026, and we are growing!

Start date: Full-time from October 2026.

Work location: 30% remote with 70% regular presence in our hubs (Barcelona, Castelldefels and St. Pere de Ribes)

Reporting: Director of Marketing and Admissions

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Recruitment & Lead Generation

Design and own Learnlife’s learner recruitment strategy, implementing proactive tactics to generate and nurture family leads through community engagement, events, partnerships, and digital outreach.

Build strong networks with relocation and school finder agencies, multinational corporations, feeder schools, embassies and cultural organisations.

Represent Learnlife at local and international fairs, open days, and networking events to raise visibility.

Partner with the Marketing team to align campaigns with recruitment targets, provide regular feedback from family conversations and track return on investment to improve performance.

Lead regular admissions strategy meetings with marketing, finance, operations, and hub teams to align on admissions targets, lead quality and budgets.

Monitor competitors (product, pricing and intake strategies) and use insights to inform strategy and decision making.

Admissions Management

Lead the full admissions process from lead to enrolment with a focus on converting enquiries to enrolments: enquiries, applications, interviews, assessments, offers, enrolment, re-enrolment and offboarding.

Oversee the admissions coordinator. Be their go-to, supporting them to qualify and nurture families ready for you to enrol.

Ensure a seamless and personal family journey that reflects our ethos of care and agency.

Organise and host hub tours, open houses, online info sessions and orientation sessions for prospective families.

Collaborate with the Hub Leads and finance team to manage the annual re-enrolment process.

Maintain and report on admissions data, including conversion rates and enrollment forecasts, identifying trends from quantitative and qualitative data, and recommending actions to improve performance.

Document the admissions process, keeping it up to date and continuously optimised.

Community Engagement

Act as a key ambassador of the Learnlife Hubs in the wider Barcelona community.

Develop and maintain partnerships that enhance Learnlife’s reputation to attract mission-aligned families, open new markets and grow our market share.

Collaborate with parents, alumni and team to create referral opportunities and word-of-mouth advocacy.

Support events and initiatives that strengthen family belonging and retention.

Create and own feedback processes for families throughout the intake process, including onboarding, offboarding, and win/loss surveys. Monitor feedback to continually refine the customer experience.

Operational Leadership

Ensure admissions policies are transparent, inclusive, and compliant with regulations.

Monitor the market for regulatory changes (eg visa requirements) that impact enrolment, and recommend actions to reduce risk.

Regularly review and refine processes to improve efficiency and the overall family experience.

Hands-on management of our CRM (HubSpot) and LMS (PowerSchool), as well as gathering market and alumni data to drive admissions and retention.

Your Experience

Bachelor’s degree with a solid track record (5+ years) of experience in admissions, sales, business development, or community relations, ideally in education.

Proven track record in lead generation and closing deals, being a great follow-uper and personable relationship manager.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Spanish.

High intercultural competency.

Strong emotional intelligence and sensitivity to people’s needs.

Experience in building enrollment/sales forecasting models.

Data and tech savvy (Excel, AI, and educational Google apps) with a great eye for detail.

A self-starter who is highly resourceful, self-aware, and adaptable.
