Head of Content

Kuku FM is India's leading audio OTT platform, delivering audiobooks, courses, and original shows across 6+ Indian languages to millions of users. The role is to own content strategy, quality, engagement and creator-first output on Kuku FM.

What You’ll Do

Content Strategy & Vision

• •Build the content vision and editorial strategy across formats (audio stories, books, shows).
• •Define long-term content goals, category plans, and KPIs.
• •Forecast trends in audio consumption and shape content roadmap.

Content Creation & Quality

• •Build and lead large content teams (editors, writers, producers, creative directors).
• •Drive excellence in storytelling, language quality, structure and engagement.
• •Set world-class processes for ideation → production → review → publishing.

Creator & IP Growth

• •Recruit and guide high-impact creators, voices and partners.
• •Own creator relationships, incentives, and quality benchmarks.
• •Build franchise IPs and high-engagement series.

Content Performance & Insights

• •Use data and audience signals to refine thematic focus and formats.
• •Improve retention and repeat listening via content choices.
• •Work with analytics to optimize content ROI.

Cross-Function Collaboration

• •Work closely with Product on recommendation, discovery and personalization.
• •Enable Marketing with strong content hooks for campaigns.
• •Link Content, Data and Tech to improve user experience.

Who You Are

• •10+ years of experience in content leadership (OTT, digital media, publishing, audio/video).
• •Strong editorial sense + track record of building content franchises.
• •Experience leading large teams and scaling content ops.
• •Good understanding of audience trends and analytics.
• •Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.

Success Looks Like (12 months)

• •Clear content vision, structure, and hit IPs in the market.
• •Improved engagement metrics (listens / completion / repeat plays).
• •Strong creator ecosystem and content calendar discipline.
