Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• * Oversee and direct all aspects of the credit review process, including the evaluation of creditworthiness, analysis of financial statements, and assessment of credit risk for various loan portfolios.
• * Develop, implement, and continuously refine credit policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices, enhancing the bank's credit risk management framework.
• * Lead and mentor a team of credit analysts, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and customer centricity.
• * Monitor key credit risk indicators and trends, providing timely and accurate reports to senior management and relevant committees.
• * Collaborate closely with business units to understand their credit needs and ensure credit review processes support business objectives while maintaining prudent risk appetite.
• * Conduct in-depth credit analysis of complex and high-value credit facilities, making recommendations on loan structuring and approval.
• * Identify and assess potential cybersecurity risks impacting credit operations and collaborate with relevant departments to implement mitigation strategies.
• * Manage debt management strategies for problematic loans, working to minimize losses and optimize recovery efforts.
• * Stay abreast of industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk and adapt credit strategies accordingly.
• * Effectively communicate credit review findings, recommendations, and policy updates to stakeholders using digital communication channels where appropriate.

Job Qualifications

• * Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role within credit risk management or credit review, preferably within a large financial institution.
• * Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of banking operations, financial products, and market dynamics.
• * Expertise in credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and credit score methodologies.
• * Comprehensive knowledge of credit policies, credit processes, and best practices in credit risk management.
• * Proven ability to identify, assess, and manage various types of credit risks.
• * Experience in debt management and recovery strategies.
• * Excellent customer centricity with the ability to balance risk management with business needs.
• * Understanding of cybersecurity principles as they relate to financial operations.
• * Exceptional teamwork and leadership skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• * Strong adaptability to changing business environments and regulatory landscapes.
• * Excellent written and verbal digital communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
