You as a HSE Administrator:

  • Support the day-to-day administration of Health, Safety, and Environmental programs across heavy civil construction projects, including earthworks, underground utilities, pipelines, and infrastructure work.
  • Maintain safety records and documentation, including training records, orientations, inspections, FLHAs, incident reports, and COR-related documentation.
  • Coordinate and track employee certifications, safety training, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees by preparing orientation packages and maintaining personnel records.
  • Support project teams with the collection, organization, and distribution of safety documents and reports.
  • Prepare monthly safety statistics, reports, and administrative summaries.
  • Maintain digital and hard-copy filing systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist the HSE team with audits, inspections, and regulatory documentation as required.

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably supporting health and safety, construction, or industrial operations.
  • Experience working in heavy civil, earthworks, utilities, pipeline, or construction environments is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Experience maintaining confidential records and coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support field and office teams.
  • Knowledge of COR requirements, Alberta OHS legislation, and construction safety documentation is considered an asset.
