Summary
About the Position: This position is being filled in one of the following places: Falls Church, VA, San Diego, CA, or San Antonio, TX.
Duties
- Evaluate quantitative factors presented in contractor cost and technical proposals by providing analyses of significant policy and/or operational changes.
- Support contract transition activities on the multi-billion dollar managed care support contract by working with the COR to develop schedules, contract language, and arrange contractor meetings.
- Advise the COR, through the Section Chief, on actions necessary for implementing change orders that cross the Managed Care Support Contracts.
- Interface with Health Affairs staff, Government agencies and the contractors/sub-contractors to identify and resolve problems and develop policy.
- Evaluates statistical information, and contractor deliverables to determine needs for policy revisions to existing DOD program and contract requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing operational strategies to resolve complex contract performance issues; recommending formal policy revisions to address systemic healthcare program deficiencies; and assessing healthcare program delivery models to ensure compliance with federal requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Customer Service Decision Making Flexibility Integrity/Honesty Interpersonal Skills Learning Reasoning Self-Management Stress Tolerance Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
