Duties

• •Assist in improving the referral management center (RMC) processes.
• •Respond to beneficiary, and provider on TRICARE issues and resolve access-to-health care complaints.
• •Assist in the patient travel benefit program.
• •Identify internal and external issues impacting the referral process and reports them to the appropriate Point of Contact (POC) for education or solution recommendation.
• •Prepare reports from various internal sources on availability and effectiveness of the referral management programs.

Basic Requirement for Health System Specialist: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with administrative policies, programs or operations related to health care delivery; assisting in resolving procedural issues; and utilizing automated systems to enter, retrieve, extract, or analyze data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).OREducation: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
