HealthAnswers

The primary role of the HealthAnswers assistant is to provide one-on-one support for users of MyChart, the online patient portal to Epic’s electronic health record. Customers include Bronson patients and patients of Bronson’s Community Partners. Assistants provide support for:

• •Activating accounts
• •Resetting passwords
• •Walking users through the login and two factor authentication process
• •Providing users with proxy access to minor children following Bronson policies
• •Educating users on MyChart functions including preparing for video visits, completing e-checkin, sending messages, online bill pay, setting up payment plans, accepting waitlist appointments, using the Sharing hub, requesting medical records.
• •Troubleshooting access issues

Other responsibilities include physician referral to Bronson practices, providing information about Bronson services, registering individuals for classes and events and connecting callers with appropriate Bronson staff who can answer their questions.

Associate's degree or equivalent experience required. • Experience in customer service, information technology required • Proficiency with computer applications including Epic and Microsoft Office• Experience in teaching preferred.

Customer service experience or working expertise of user experiences with computer applications; familiarity with Epic electronic health record, particularly MyChart

Interest and aptitude for learning new applications

Excellent telephone presence and interpersonal skills

Excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate both orally and in writing

Assists customers in problem resolution via phone or email; investigate, troubleshoot, coordinate support efforts and resolve problems for users

Ability to work in fast-paced environment, serving customers with very diverse abilities and needs.

Work is constantly and exceptionally tiring mentally and/or visually. Conditions exist more than 90% of the work time. The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.
