Beaumont Hospital in Bolton Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Theatre department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Assist in delivering safe and effective care across the theatre department, supporting patients throughout their surgical pathway.
- Prepare theatres for procedures, including equipment checks, stock preparation, and ensuring the environment is clean and ready.
- Engage with patients in a respectful, dignified, and empathetic manner, helping to alleviate anxiety and ensure comfort.
- Maintain a high standard of personal conduct and clinical care in accordance with CHG policies and the HCA framework.
- Take responsibility for developing your own clinical and technical skills through training, mentorship, and reflection.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient theatre environment through stock control, timely equipment turnover, and adherence to clinical standards.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare support role.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
- Willingness to undertake training and competency development in theatre-specific care.
- Understanding of infection control, safeguarding, and basic health and safety principles.
