Elko Sanitation is seeking a dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. SCHEDULE: Full Time | Monday – Friday.

• •8–10 hours/day | 7:00am-7:00pm.
• •Overtime paid after 40 hours

SALARY : Starting at $29.00+ per hour (DOE)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• •Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles.
• •Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
• •Use computerized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine issues.
• •Conduct safety inspections and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
• •Document repairs, parts usage, and labor hours using fleet maintenance software.
• •Communicate repair needs and work status with drivers, technicians, and supervisors.
• •Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all company and OSHA safety standards.
• •Perform additional maintenance and repair duties as needed to support fleet operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• •Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record (Required)
• •2+ years of diesel repair experience (fleet, trucking, heavy equipment, etc.) or completion of a diesel tech program
• •Ability to read and interpret service manuals in English
• •Provide personal tools.
• •Welding or fabrication experience is a big plus!
