Job Description

We are looking for a Help Desk Analyst to support our client's desktop modernization initiative by deploying new hardware, imaging devices, managing inventory, and providing post-deployment technical support. This position will be a full-time contract and onsite in Trenton, NJ .

What You'll Do

  • Unbox, inventory, and prepare newly purchased desktops, laptops, and peripherals for deployment
  • Image desktop and laptop computers with approved Windows images
  • Configure and customize Windows 11 settings and install required applications
  • Utilize Active Directory to manage computer accounts and assign group memberships
  • Deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals to end users across various DCA divisions
  • Maintain accurate deployment tracking spreadsheets and inventory databases
  • Update asset records with user information, locations, and device details
  • Provide post-deployment technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Manage and complete support tickets related to deployed equipment
  • Provide weekly status reports on outstanding tickets and deployment activities
  • Prepare replaced equipment for surplus by removing hard drives and documenting inventory
  • Maintain accurate records of surplus equipment and support asset lifecycle management activities
  • Assist with ongoing desktop modernization efforts and related technical projects
  • Move computer equipment between deployment and storage locations as needed

What You'll Need

Required:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a service desk, help desk, desktop support, or technical support environment
  • 2+ years of experience imaging computers and preparing devices for deployment
  • 2+ years of experience with Active Directory Users and Computers
  • 2+ years of experience customizing Windows 11 and installing applications
  • 2+ years of experience tracking deployed equipment using spreadsheets or inventory databases
  • 2+ years of experience managing and completing technical support tickets
  • Ability to provide concise summaries and status updates regarding completed work
  • Ability to move and transport computer equipment to storage and deployment locations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in a professional office environment

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting large-scale desktop refresh or hardware deployment projects
  • Experience with inventory management and asset tracking systems
  • Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments
  • Knowledge of Windows deployment tools and endpoint management technologies

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$25 - $27 per hour The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
