Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) at our partner practices provide high-quality comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, TMS services (if applicable), and ongoing treatment in an outpatient setting, working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model. Success in this role is demonstrated through safe prescribing practices, strong patient engagement, and close collaboration with therapy and interdisciplinary clinical teams.

PMHNP Responsibilities

• •Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnoses
• •Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• •Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans
• •Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• •Collaborate with therapists and other providers as part of an integrated care model
• •Site/Partner Practice dependent , PMHNPs may perform TMS cortical mappings
• •Site/Partner Practice dependent , PMHNPs may oversee staff technicians who perform daily TMS treatments

Requirements

Requirements

• •Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• •Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License pursuant to the laws of the state where healthcare services are provided
• •Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted license(s) to practice nursing pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided
• •Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances;
• •Minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience, outpatient preferred
• •Ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to work productively and effectively.
• •Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as thorough knowledge about the various medical processes and procedures
• •Possess and maintain adequate/required Professional Liability Insurance policy
• •Comply with prescription drug monitoring program regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience treating diverse age groups
• •Comfort with telepsychiatry
• •Knowledge of evidence-based medication protocols
