We are seeking a Histology Technician to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

Job Summary:

Perform routine tissue processing, paraffin embedding, sectioning, and staining to prepare high-quality slides for pathological analysis. Partner with pathologists and laboratory colleagues to deliver accurate, timely results while maintaining regulatory, quality, and safety standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation through tissue processing, paraffin embedding, sectioning, and staining
  • Partner with pathologists to facilitate analysis and the timely delivery of results
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot histology laboratory equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with SOPs, good documentation practices, and regulatory guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, federal, CLIA, and CAP requirements
  • Support process improvements that enhance data quality, reduce costs, or improve turnaround times
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, housekeeping, safety, quality, and 6S standards
  • Support study setup activities and laboratory or cross-functional projects as assigned

What We Are Looking For:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Typically requires 2-3 years of experience in a histopathology lab or discipline
  • ASCP qualification or equivalent and 1 year of experience in a clinical, research, academic, or commercial/production laboratory are required
  • Detailed knowledge of histology techniques, specialized laboratory equipment, clinical testing procedures, staining techniques, and applicable laboratory testing regulations
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and resolve process issues
  • Applicable certifications and licenses as required by local regulations
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, clients, and pathologists
  • Commitment to laboratory safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $46,200.00 - $96,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
