We are hiring a Music Therapist for a Hospice position providing care to patients in their homes in the Grayling, MI area.

What You’ll Do:

• •Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life
• •Provide compassionate music therapy services in accordance with hospice care plans to promote comfort, emotional support, relaxation, and overall quality of life for patients and families
• •Educate and support patients and caregivers through therapeutic music interventions, responding to emotional and comfort needs with professionalism, empathy, and flexibility throughout the end-of-life journey
• •Work independently but never alone
• •Travel to patient homes within assigned territory

Music Therapist Qualifications

• •Bachelor of Music Therapy degree
• •Current Board certified (MT-BC) credential according to U. S. Certification Board for Music Therapists
• •State music therapy licensing where required
• •At least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric health care
• •At least six (6) months of work /education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness health care
• •Due to the field-based nature of this home health position, a valid driver’s license and the ability to spend approximately 20% of your workday driving to and from patient locations are required
