Job Summary:**

The Host/Cashier Swing for the Steakhouse is responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing reservations, seating guests efficiently, and accurately handling cash and credit card transactions. This role ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for all diners in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Job Responsibilities:**

• * Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, confirming reservations and managing waitlists.
• * Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and communicating any specials or important information.
• * Maintain accurate seating charts and floor plans, ensuring optimal table turnover and guest flow.
• * Answer phones professionally, taking reservations, and addressing guest inquiries.
• * Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and gift certificates.
• * Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
• * Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• * Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• * Resolve guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and discretion.
• * Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including cash handling protocols and guest service standards.
• * Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:**

• * High school diploma or equivalent required.
• * Previous experience in a host/cashier role, preferably in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting.
• * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• * Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• * Proficient in basic math and cash handling procedures.
• * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (swing shift availability is essential).
• * Knowledge of POS systems (e.g., Aloha, OpenTable) is a plus.
• * Must be able to obtain and maintain all necessary gaming licenses and certifications, if applicable.
• * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
