Activities & Responsibilities

• •Wash, dry, and fold all hotel linens
• •Make beds
• •Replenish guest room supplies, to include clean towels and washcloths
• •Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, common areas, restrooms, elevator, stairways, and exterior bathrooms
• •Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner
• •Dust furniture and fixtures
• •Disinfect and deodorize in-room refrigerator and microwave
• •Return dirty room service dishes and trays to restaurant
• •Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed
• •Wash windows, door panels, and sills
• •Empty wastebaskets
• •Transport trash and waste to trash area behind restaurant
• •Replenish bathroom supplies
• •Deliver special order items to guest rooms, such as food, wine, or flowers
• •Replace light bulbs as needed
• •Report any damages or maintenance issues to front desk immediately
• •Report guests’ items left behind and turn in to front desk immediately
• •Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
• •Report to work for scheduled shift on time and in uniform, in accordance with company policy
• •Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
• •Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
• •Perform other related duties as required or requested by the GM or front desk

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• •Reliable transportation to and from work
• •Able to work shifts on weekends and holidays
• •Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
• •Able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop
• •Able to safely lift and carry up two flights of stairs full laundry baskets and boxes of supplies, weighing up to 20 pounds
• •Hotel experience preferred
