Job Title: Housekeeping Staff

Reporting to: Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: Griffith College Dublin

Job Type: Full-Time / Fixed-Term

Job Summary:

The role of housekeeping staff is to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for staff and students.

Job Responsibilities:

Adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines

Removing any identified risks such as trip hazards

The vacuuming of rooms, corridors and emptying all waste bins

Cleaning glass and mirrors

Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces

Cleaning bathrooms and toilets

Cleaning all common areas

Ensuring that rooms are odour free

Reporting anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person

Keep cleaning area tidy at all times and cleaning materials safely stored

Maintain polite communication with staff at all times

Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for staff

Any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities

Occasional use of ladder, bending, stooping and lifting are required
