Responsibilities

Housekeeping Supervisor

• •Wage: $24.90/hour
• •Full-time positions available
• •Day shift available - 6 AM - 2:30 PM or 7 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
• •Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
• •Location: Bayhealth Hospital - Sussex Campus

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our housekeeping team!

Support the housekeeping (EVS) department leadership to maintain a high level of cleanliness and consistency throughout all areas of the hospital. Create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal.

Responsibilities

• •Oversee team members and assign cleaning duties to ensure coverage of all areas
• •Perform daily inspections and maintain quality control programs
• •Manage supplies and ensure team members have the equipment necessary to complete job assignments
• •Assist with payroll and administrative duties as assigned
• •Assist with cleaning areas of the hospital as needed to ensure full coverage
• •Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
• •Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
• •Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

• •Must be at least 18 years old
• •Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• •Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
• •GED or high school diploma
• •Experience as a supervisor preferred
• •Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare, computer tech)

Physical Requirements

• •Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• •Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• •Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
• •Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
