JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title : Housekeeping Supervisor

Departments: Housekeeping

Supervision Exercised: Room Attendants, House Attendants, Laundry Attendants

Supervision Received: Housekeeping Manager/ Executive Housekeeper / General Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

• •High school diploma or equivalent required.
• •Hospitality coursework or certification preferred.

Experience

• •Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment.
• •Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• •Experience with housekeeping software or PMS systems (HotSOS, OnQ, Opera, etc.) a plus.

Skills & Knowledge

• •Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• •Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• •Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members.
• •Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• •Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and chemical handling.
• •Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs.
• •Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• •Supervise and support housekeeping staff during daily operations.
• •Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas for cleanliness and compliance with brand standards.
• •Assist with training new employees on cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• •Ensure carts, closets, and supply rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.
• •Address guest requests and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
• •Report maintenance concerns and ensure timely follow-up.
• •Monitor productivity and assist with scheduling and labor management.
• •Maintain accurate records of inspections, assignments, and supply usage.
• •Uphold all safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• •Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
