Job Description

Your Impact in this role

The HR Business Partner supports managers and employees in building a high-performance and engaging work environment. The role reports to the HR Partner Business Services Dessel HR, Employee and Industrial Relations and works closely with the Payroll Specialist, HR Representative Hard HR, managers and employees across the organization.

As a trusted HR partner, you play a key role in attracting, developing and retaining talent, supporting leadership, driving employee engagement and executing people-related projects. You contribute to the implementation of HR policies and initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and employee experience.

In the role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• •Act as the first HR point of contact for managers regarding performance management, employee development, talent management and individual employee cases.
• •Partner with managers in addressing performance concerns, employee relations matters and people management challenges.
• •Coordinate and support the annual talent review, succession planning and workforce planning processes on a local level based on the Global policy.
• •Facilitate the performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews and annual evaluations.
• •Drive recruitment activities for blue- and white-collar positions , including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing and stakeholder coordination. Experience with Workday is an asset.
• •Develop and execute local employer branding initiatives to strengthen Sibelco's position as an employer of choice.
• •Build and maintain partnerships with schools, universities, recruitment agencies and job boards.
• •Coordinate onboarding and induction programs to ensure a successful integration of new employees.
• •Support learning and development initiatives and act as the local point of contact for training-related activities.
• •Partner with the global and regional Centres of Excellence on talent, leadership and development programs.
• •Monitor sickness absence trends and coordinate follow-up actions together with managers and the Site Management Team.
• •Support employee retention initiatives and contribute to employee engagement activities.
• •Lead and participate in HR projects related to talent, culture, leadership development and employee experience.
• •Support the development and implementation of competency frameworks and skills matrices.
• •Contribute to organizational development initiatives and change management projects.
• •Provide HR data, insights and reporting to support strategic people decisions.
• •Support HR operational activities and act as back-up for payroll and HR administration processes where needed.

What you bring to the table

• •Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or equivalent through experience.
• •3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR, HR Business Partner or Talent Management role.
• •Strong understanding of talent management, performance management and employee development practices.
• •Experience in recruitment and employer branding activities.
• •Knowledge of Belgian employment legislation is an asset.
• •Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• •Ability to build trusted relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.
• •Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• •Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• •Proactive, solution-oriented and customer-focused mindset.
• •Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• •Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• •Fluent in Dutch and English; French is considered an asset.
