Are you passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences and helping people navigate important life transitions? As a Human Resources Specialist supporting relocation programs, you will play a key role in welcoming new employees to SEL by coordinating relocation services, temporary housing, employee reimbursements, and relocation logistics.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource for employees, recruiters, hiring managers, and internal partners throughout the relocation process. You will help ensure that employees and their families experience a smooth transition while maintaining the processes, and operational excellence that support SEL's relocation offerings.
This position offers a unique opportunity to build expertise across Human Resources, employee services, customer support, process improvement, and relocation program administration while making a meaningful impact on the employee experience.

This role combines Human Resources, customer service, project coordination, employee onboarding, and operational problem-solving. The position offers broad visibility across HR and valuable experience in employee mobility and relocation program management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees participating in relocation programs, responding to questions and providing guidance throughout the relocation process.
- Coordinate employee relocation activities, including temporary housing arrangements, move-related logistics, reimbursement processing, and communication with internal stakeholders.
- Manage SEL corporate apartment operations, including reservations, move-ins and move-outs, inventory management, maintenance coordination, cleaning arrangements, and occupancy tracking.
- Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, payroll, travel services, facilities, and relocating employees to ensure a positive relocation experience.
- Review and process relocation-related reimbursements, house-hunting trip expenses, and supporting documentation for accuracy and policy compliance.
- Maintain relocation records, housing inventories, tracking tools, and reporting metrics while ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
- Provide input to the development and support implementation of HR guidance, policies, procedures, and relocation program enhancements.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate records and manage reporting requests.
- Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes to increase efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
- Support special projects related to employee mobility, onboarding, employee services, and Human Resources operations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years related experience or equivalent
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office
- Strong customer service experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
- Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks in multiple disciplines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and filing skills
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL (where applicable)
- Negative drug test result(s) (where applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management
- Knowledge of HR laws and practices
- Professional certification in related field
- Familiarity with an HRIS system and processes
- Experience coordinating travel, relocation, hospitality, housing, event logistics, or employee services programs.
- Experience managing multiple schedules, reservations, or customer-facing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience reviewing invoices, expense reports, or reimbursement requests.
- Familiarity with relocation, employee mobility, onboarding, or talent acquisition processes.

Pay Range: $33.00 - $50.00 per hour
We set starting pay based on job-related factors such as your experience, training, knowledge, and skills. We are looking to fill this position at the HR Specialist level, and we welcome applicants with a range of experience. Depending on your background, we may consider you for a different level, with compensation aligned accordingly.
