The Role

As an HR Business Partner , you will support managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle while helping Mistral AI build scalable people practices as the company grows. You will be a trusted partner, providing guidance on people matters and helping leaders make informed decisions.

You will work across both day-to-day people topics and longer-term initiatives, from employee relations and career development to performance reviews, learning, and talent retention. You will play a key role in creating a consistent employee experience across multiple countries while ensuring compliance with local employment regulations.

You will also help shape how the People team operates by improving policies, processes, and programs that support the business and reinforce Mistral AI's culture.

What you will do

Partner with managers to provide trusted guidance on people-related matters.

Support a positive and productive work environment by proactively addressing employee concerns and engagement.

Use People metrics to inform decisions and provide insights to managers and leadership.

Champion and reinforce Mistral AI's culture across the organization.

Develop and evolve talent retention initiatives that support long-term employee growth.

Design and improve learning, career development, and performance review programs.

Build scalable People policies and processes that promote sustainable ways of working, including work-life balance.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

5–8 years of progressive human resources experience, with most of that experience gained in a startup or high-growth environment.

Experience supporting employee populations across multiple countries, particularly in EMEA, with a strong understanding of French employment law and human resources practices.

Experience managing the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through retention and offboarding.

Proven ability to develop and implement human resources strategies that support business goals and deliver measurable outcomes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the organization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

A hands-on approach, with experience improving human resources processes to increase efficiency, enhance the employee experience, and maintain compliance with employment regulations.

A builder mindset with a practical approach to creating scalable people practices.
