Description

Human Resources Generalist

Tailored Label Products | Menomonee Falls, WI | Full-Time, On-Site

Reports to the HR Manager

We’re adding an HR Generalist to our team, and we’re looking for someone who really enjoys recruiting. You’ll spend a good part of your time finding candidates, conducting phone screens, partnering with hiring managers, and helping new employees get off to a good start at TLP.

You’ll also be involved in the everyday side of HR: answering employee questions, helping with benefits and leaves, supporting supervisors, and keeping things organized behind the scenes. The role is mostly office-based, with regular time on our manufacturing floor.

What You’ll Do

Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and pre-employment steps.

Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and find the right candidates.

Coordinate onboarding and lead new-hire orientation.

Be a resource for employees with questions about policies, benefits, leaves, and other HR topics.

Support supervisors and managers with day-to-day employee relations matters.

Administer leaves of absence, including FMLA, disability, and workers’ compensation.

Maintain accurate employee records and information in our HR systems.

Coordinate employee training, HR events, and other department activities.

Support employee engagement, wellness, and recognition efforts.

Help identify ways to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

1–3 years of HR experience, preferably with a strong recruiting background.

Working knowledge of HR practices and employment laws, including FMLA, workers’ compensation, EEO, I-9 requirements, and wage and hour laws.

Experience with an applicant tracking system and an HRIS. Paylocity experience is a plus.

Strong communication and people skills, and a reputation for following through.

The ability to stay organized while managing multiple openings, leave cases, deadlines, and employee needs.

Good judgment and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Manufacturing experience is a plus.

aPHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus, but not required.

Why TLP?

TLP is a growing manufacturing company where you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with employees and make an impact. Our culture is built around Determination, Respect, Appreciation, Fun, and Trust.

We offer:

Competitive pay

Health, dental, and vision insurance, plus an HSA

Company-paid life and disability coverage

401(k) with company match

Paid time off and paid holidays

Paid volunteer time and a paid day off for your birthday

Career development opportunities

Employee events and wellness programs

Work Environment

Primarily office-based but will interact regularly with other departments in a manufacturing environment.
