About the Role

Vamonos IT is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the day-to-day HR needs of our growing organization. This position will manage company and employee activities across the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, training, HR documentation, and employee offboarding. The ideal candidate will have broad HR experience, strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage routine HR matters while working closely with company leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of professional Human Resources experience

Experience supporting recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and employee onboarding

Experience supporting employee offboarding and maintaining personnel documentation

Working knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes

Experience supporting employee benefits administration

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple HR activities and deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate employee records

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion

Ability to work independently, identify issues, and follow through on tasks to completion

Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and company leadership

Preferred Qualifications

2–4 years of broad HR experience in a small or mid-sized organization

Experience working as an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, People Operations Specialist, or similar role

Experience supporting a professional services, technology, government contracting, or similar workforce

Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, payroll, benefits, or related HR systems

SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification

Responsibilities

Manage recruiting activities for approved positions, including job postings, resume review, candidate screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication.

Coordinate the employee onboarding process, including required documentation, orientation activities, employee records, and internal onboarding requirements.

Serve as a primary point of contact for routine employee HR questions and concerns.

Support managers with employee performance, conduct, and disciplinary matters and maintain appropriate documentation.

Coordinate employee performance review processes and related documentation.

Administer routine employee benefits activities, including enrollment, employee changes, and employee questions.

Coordinate company-required and employee development training and maintain training records.

Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, employee records, HR forms, and related documentation.

Administer established HR policies and procedures and support consistent application across the organization.

Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including separation documentation, return of company property, access-removal coordination, and exit interviews.

Maintain HR checklists, templates, standard operating procedures, and recurring HR processes.

Track HR deadlines, employee documentation requirements, and other routine compliance-related activities.

Identify HR process gaps and recommend improvements to increase consistency, efficiency, and employee experience.

Escalate sensitive or higher-risk employee matters to the COO as appropriate.

Support additional HR and employee-related initiatives as organizational needs evolve.
