HVAC Journeyman / Field Foreman

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Journeyman / Field Foreman to join our growing team. This position requires a skilled technician who can independently complete small daily HVAC installations while also leading crews on larger light commercial projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong installation experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• •Lead and supervise HVAC installation crews on light commercial projects.
• •Perform daily HVAC equipment installations, replacements, and system upgrades.
• •Coordinate manpower, materials, and job schedules to keep projects on track.
• •Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications.
• •Ensure installations comply with manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company quality standards.
• •Troubleshoot installation issues and provide solutions in the field.
• •Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, customers, and team members.
• •Train and mentor apprentice and junior HVAC installers.
• •Maintain accurate job documentation and material usage.
• •Promote and enforce a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• •Journeyman-level HVAC experience.
• •Previous experience as a Field Foreman, Lead Installer, or Crew Leader.
• •Strong background in light commercial HVAC installations.
• •Service experience with diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment.
• •Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
• •Experience with rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, ductwork, and HVAC controls.
• •Ability to read blueprints and mechanical plans.
• •Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• •Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• •EPA Universal Certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience with tenant improvements, office buildings, retail, restaurants, and other light commercial facilities.
• •OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• •Ability to plan projects, order materials, and coordinate with subcontractors.
