Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Jr. Maintenance Mechanic . You’ll have the opportunity to work on all types of commercial and industrial equipment and cutting-edge technologies. Location: Ottawa, ON – Onsite

Your Responsibilities:

• •Participate in formal apprenticeship training programs and complete required technical education.
• •Learn the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and machinery.
• •Support maintenance teams in performing equipment repairs and facility maintenance activities.
• •Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• •Help diagnose equipment issues and support troubleshooting efforts alongside experienced technicians.
• •Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing mechanical components.
• •Maintain tools, machinery, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• •Safely operate and properly utilize hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• •Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and service records.
• •Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while performing work.

Your Qualifications:

• •High School Diploma or GED
• •Associate’s Degree or technical school HVAC certificate (preferred)
• •0-2+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience
• •Accepted as an Apprentice by Local Union 787
• •Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• •Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
• •Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required
• •Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)

The expected hourly rate for this position is $25.00 in ON. The rate is subject to the amount outlined in the CBA and could change based on the level offered. Benefits are provided through a local labor union and aligned to the CBA.
