Role Overview

This role is focused on mechanical product engineering for HVAC equipment and systems. You will contribute to product design from concept through release, support engineering changes and prototype activities, and help ensure that designs are aligned with HVAC performance, manufacturability, and documentation requirements.

What you will do

  • Design and support the development of complete HVAC product solutions, including applied equipment and related mechanical assemblies.
  • Prepare and update engineering drawings, BOMs, and engineering change documentation.
  • Review mechanical design requirements for components and assemblies such as AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, fans, dampers, diffusers, grills, and chilled beams, as applicable to the product line.
  • Work with CAD and value engineering teams to develop 3D models and optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Coordinate with product design, production, and other stakeholders to move work through design release and implementation.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, verification, and design improvements.
  • Contribute to technical problem-solving, design clarification, and continuous product sustenance activities.
  • Provide support on sheet metal parts, assemblies, and technical documentation as required.

How you will do it

  • You will own your deliverables with accountability, safety, and integrity, making sure designs are practical, accurate, and ready for execution.
  • You will stay close to the work by partnering early with design, production, and CAD teams so issues are identified and removed quickly.
  • You will look for ways to improve every day through clear problem-solving, direct communication, and disciplined follow-through.
  • You will work as one team, valuing collaboration and diverse perspectives to deliver strong product outcomes.

What are we looking for?

  • BE, B.Tech, or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical system design and development for HVAC products.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Creo, and Windchill.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC&R design, including ASHRAE standards, psychrometrics, thermodynamics, refrigeration cycles, and refrigeration and air-conditioning components.
  • Experience with BOM creation, engineering changes, and mechanical drawing release.
  • Good understanding of sheet metal part and assembly modelling.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA and GD&T.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems for BOM management and engineering changes.
  • Exposure to value engineering, prototype testing, or verification and validation activities.
  • Experience working on applied HVAC platforms or chiller-related product development.
  • Familiarity with global or cross-site collaboration in a product engineering environment.

What do we offer?

  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.
  • Engagement in meaningful projects that make a difference.
