The Role

REV Ocean is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Reeferman to join our Engine department and support any tasks related to HVAC systems and reefer plants.

This is a hands-on offshore position requiring strong operational and technical competence with chilled water HVAC systems, brine reefer plants and conventional reefer plants as well as cold storage galley equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining/troubleshooting a large main Air conditioning plant made of 8 semi hermetic screw compressors.

Being familiar with ozone depleting substances and holding the required certificates for handling such substances.

Maintain and troubleshoot brine reefer plants.

Maintain and troubleshoot conventional freon gas reefer plants.

Maintain and troubleshoot conventional galley cold storage equipment.

Required Qualifications and experience

F-Gas certification or equivalent.

Valid offshore medical certificate and applicable offshore safety certification.

Good written and spoken English.

Ability to work effectively within an international and multidisciplinary offshore team.

Personal Qualities

Remains calm and makes sound technical decisions under pressure.

Is proactive in troubleshooting and solving technical problems.

Understands that REV operations require flexibility and close cooperation between operational and scientific teams.
