Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

The ICT Channel Development Intern will support the growth of the Maxis Business ICT Partner ecosystem through partner outreach, lead qualification, appointment coordination, and pipeline management. This role involves engaging prospective ICT partners, identifying business opportunities, scheduling meetings for Channel Managers, and maintaining accurate recruitment and engagement records. The ideal candidate is proactive, confident in communicating with business stakeholders, and interested in ICT solutions, sales, and business development.

Job Responsibilities:

• •Conduct outbound calls and email outreach to prospective ICT partners to introduce Maxis Business ICT collaboration opportunities.
• •Identify key decision-makers, qualify partner interest, and arrange meetings with ICT Channel Managers.
• •Research potential ICT partners, business profiles, and market opportunities to support partner recruitment activities.
• •Identify and screen opportunities across mobile, connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services.
• •Maintain accurate partner contact records, call outcomes, engagement status, and follow-up activities in the recruitment tracker.
• •Coordinate partner meetings and appointments through Microsoft Bookings, Outlook, and Teams.
• •Track appointment conversion, follow-up activities, and potential business opportunities, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
• •Prepare daily and weekly activity reports to support pipeline visibility and performance monitoring.

Requirements:

• •Strong Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
• •Confident Communicator: Comfortable conducting outbound calls and engaging professionally with business contacts.
• •Research & Analytical Skills: Able to research companies, identify opportunities, and qualify potential partners.
• •Organizational Skills: Able to manage multiple follow-ups, appointments, and records effectively.
• •Proficient in Microsoft Office: Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other productivity tools.
• •Self-Motivated & Proactive: Demonstrates initiative, willingness to learn, and interest in business development and ICT solutions.
• •Team Player: Works effectively with Channel Managers and stakeholders to support recruitment goals.
• •Education Qualification: Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Duration of Programme - Minimum 3 months internship
