Role: IELTS Examiner

Reports to : IELTS Administrator

Location : Houston, Texas

Description:

• ELS Houston - ELS Language Center is seeking a Certified IELTS Examiner to
• conduct one-to-one interviews with IELTS candidates to assess their spoken English
• according to set requirements.

Job Duties:

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

Examine test takers on Saturdays and Sundays.

Maintain confidentiality and security in all aspects of IELTS.

Comply fully with the Examiner Code of Practice and IELTS Confidentiality Undertaking

Undertake scheduled standardization training and re-certification

Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

• •A recognized qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other
• Languages (TESOL) or recognized equivalent as part of a recognized
• university award course.

• •An undergraduate or master’s degree or a qualification which can be
• demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate or master’s degree.

Education and Experience Required

• •At least 3 years’ full time (or the equivalent part time) relevant TESOL teaching
• experience (minimum one-year post-certificate level qualification).

The majority of teaching experience must be with adult students aged 16 and over.
